Travis Scott Stars On Quavo’s Highly-Anticipated “Rerun”

Published

on

It’s been about a year and a half since we initially heard a snippet of “Rerun” and it’s finally arrived in its entire form. The duo of Travis Scott and Quavo, sometimes known as Huncho Jack, have experienced success together through their joint album late last year. We expected “Rerun” to be on the tracklist for Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho but we were instead led to believe it had been passed over for another song. It was unclear if it would ever see the light of day but today, we get to hear it as part of Quavo’s solo album.

We were all interested to hear what Quavo’s first solo work would sound like and thankfully, it includes the highly-anticipated “Rerun.” This sounds like a true Huncho Jack collaboration as Trav does Quavo’s adlibs and vice versa with the two going back and forth throughout the entire affair. There are definitely a few songs on the album that will need to grow on us (*ahem* that Madonna feature) but “Rerun” is not one of them. This is a true banger right off the bat.

We’re honestly just glad to be listening to the best quality version of this track after spending so much time with just a preview. How do you like the finished cut?

Quotable Lyrics:

Yeah, ice-ice biting Cartier Bangles
Yeah, she let me smash her friends long as the chain froze
Yeah, ain’t been here 15 minutes, why she changed clothes?
She ride with me through the city while we swang doors
Slide through the hood, pop up on the north
You know everything good when you with the ‘Cho
Chosen, outspoken, arrogant, that’s on both ends

D33J And Lil Yacthy Connect On "Out Of Sight"
D33J has recently dropped his highly anticipated  INFINITY 33 mixtape. The project is full of impressive collaborations, including this emotive single, “Out Of Sight,” featuring Atlanta rapper Lil Yachty.

Speaking to Pigeons and Planes, D33J revealed, “My music is always quite emotional, but it’s not conveyed in these clear-cut narratives. There are not all these lyrics guiding you, and even when I do sing, a lot of the times the vocals are more like guttural, impulsive first take things that get looped and processed.” The aforementioned is evident in the Lil Yachty assisted song which sees the two musicians exploring the theme of lost love.

Quotable Lyrics

Where have you been, where have you been
Not in my life lately
Where have you been, out of sight
Where have you been, where have you been
Not in my life lately
Where have you been, you’ve been out of sight

Jaden Smith Advises Fans To "Play This On A Mountain At Sunset"
Jaden Smith recently dropped off a new project titled The Sunset Tapes: A Cool Tape Story exactly one year after his debut album SYRE. The new music is a part of his Cool Tape series through which Jaden first explored his early hip-hop artistry.

The Cool Tape Story is 11 tracks long, with various titles alluding to his past releases such as “FALLEN Part 2” and “SYRE In Abbey Road.”

“Play This On A Mountain At Sunset” is arguably the perfect accompaniment to a moment of reflection or philosophizing. Speaking to Nylon, Jaden revealed, I’m a learning philosopher, you know? So I get to learn new things every day…For me, personally, I am growing to have a well-rounded education on everything, because you’re never gonna know everything. So I feel like yes, I am a modern-day philosopher in training.”

City Girls Have No Time For A "Broke Boy"
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Yung Miami of the City Girls shared some advice that she received from her mother at a young age. “My mom always told me ‘Don’t talk to a man who can’t do nothing for you. If you talkin’ to a man, make him do something for you.” She went on to further cement the importance of ambition and hustle in a potential partner saying, ” I don’t wanna talk to a broke boy. Period.”

In this single from their album Girl Code, the City Girls deliver a lively, horn-infused hype anthem. The song is further complemented by the duo’s witty lyrics.

Quotable Lyrics

If you a broke boy, stay the f*ck out my way
These n***s be lyin’ on they d*ck with a f*ckin’ straight face
Boy, I am not your b*tch, so what the f*ck is you sayin’?
You just a n**** lyin’ on your d*ck with a f*ckin’ straight face
